Eminem’s recent gesture towards his ex-wife, Kim Mathers, suggests a renewed amicability between the two. Property records, recently disclosed by The U.S. Sun, reveal that Mathers secured a substantial loan of $615,000 from Shady Games Inc. in December 2022. This company, helmed by Eminem (born Marshall Bruce Mathers III), played a pivotal role in this financial assistance.
With this financial boost, Mathers made a strategic real estate move, acquiring a spacious four-bedroom residence in Macomb, Michigan. This transaction marked a significant transition, as she bid farewell to the custom-built mansion Eminem had generously bestowed upon her years prior, eventually selling it for $1.35 million in March 2023.
This development coincides with Kim’s newfound confidence, evident in her striking transformation just ahead of her daughter Hailie’s impending nuptials. Recent photos have surfaced of Kim, usually preferring a low profile, donning what observers have dubbed a chic “grunge” style, complete with short blond locks and tasteful tattoos.
At 48 years old, she excitedly confirmed her attendance at Hailie Jade’s wedding to Evan McClintock, with Eminem slated to proudly escort his daughter down the aisle.
Speaking candidly with The U.S. Sun, Mathers revealed that she and the Hip Hop luminary have maintained a connection, despite being the subject of some of his intense lyrical expressions, notably in songs like “Kim.” She shared, “We don’t see each other all the time, but we keep in touch enough!”
This summer marked a special milestone for Eminem, as he embraced a new role as a father-in-law when his eldest daughter, Alaina, tied the knot in their hometown of Detroit, Michigan. The 30-year-old, affectionately known as “Lainey,” exchanged vows with her long-time sweetheart, Matt Moller, in a heartfelt June ceremony, with her younger sister Hailie playing a cherished role as bridesmaid.
Though Eminem chose to remain discreet in the Instagram snapshots shared by Lainey, Kim Mathers later confirmed that Slim Shady indeed had the honor of accompanying his adopted daughter down the aisle.
Reflecting on the joyous occasion, Alaina expressed in an Instagram post, “June 9, 2023, simply one of the best days of my life. In this lifetime and the next, my soul will always find yours.”
Eminem formally embraced his paternal role to Alaina in the early 2000s, during a period when her mother—the twin sister of Kim Mathers—fought against addiction. Tragically, she succumbed to an overdose in 2016.
