In late September, Duane “Keefe D” Davis was apprehended by Las Vegas Metro Police in connection to the murder of 2Pac. His court appearance last month was marred by the absence of his lawyer, prompting a request for a continuance. Now, faced with the challenge of limited financial resources, Keefe D finds himself without legal representation, and he’ll be relying on a public defender for his upcoming arraignment on November 2.
Notably, there have been whispers that accomplished Las Vegas attorney Ross Goodman might step in to defend the accused former gang member.
According to Goodman, Keefe D intends to enter a plea of not guilty while also seeking bail. “I’m not yet hired to review the grand jury transcripts,” he mentioned. “But the things that jump out, there’s no gun, there’s no car, and there are no witnesses from 27 years ago.”
As the legal proceedings unfold for Keefe D, recent speculations arose about his well-being while incarcerated. However, DJ Vlad took to social media to dispel these rumors, stating, “There’s a rumor going around that Keefe D got beat up and stabbed in jail. I looked into it, and it doesn’t appear to be true.” It seems that, despite the challenges he faces, Keefe D’s situation might not be as dire as initially suggested.
