Boosie Badazz found himself caught in a whirlwind of legal trouble, transitioning from one precarious situation to another. Just when he thought the local prosecutors in San Diego had dropped the charges against him, little did he know that the federal authorities were ready to step in and take the reins.
Federal agents swooped in on Boosie outside the San Diego courthouse, where he was under the impression that he had received favorable news regarding his gun case. However, newly obtained documents reveal that the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) apprehended him for the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon essentially a charge similar to the one San Diego had dismissed.

According to the federal documents, the evidence against Boosie stemmed from an Instagram live feed captured on May 6. In the footage, he could be seen with a gun discreetly tucked into the waistband of his vibrant red jeans. San Diego PD, who had been monitoring the Instagram feed, swiftly coordinated with officers on the ground to pull over the vehicle in which Boosie was traveling as a backseat passenger.
The federal authorities claim that just before the Mercedes SUV came to a halt, a sharp-eyed officer from San Diego noticed suspicious movements in the backseat. In their experience, it appeared as though someone was attempting to conceal firearms or illicit contraband. Once the vehicle was stopped, Boosie assured the officer that he did not possess any weapons himself but that his security personnel did. However, during the ensuing search, the vigilant cop discovered a loaded Hellcat 9mm in the guard’s bag and a loaded Glock 9mm on the rear passenger seat.
All three individuals—Boosie, his guard, and the driver—were promptly taken into custody. Allegedly, the authorities overheard Boosie berating his guard, exclaiming, “You told me they were in the bag!” It was only after a thorough examination of the Instagram footage that the police were able to match the Glock found on the seat to the weapon previously spotted in Boosie’s waistband. And that was the turning point leading to his arrest.
It’s worth noting that Boosie had already served more than four years for drug charges and was released from Louisiana State Prison back in 2014. Following his latest arrest, he took to Twitter to issue a heartfelt apology to his children. As of now, we have reached out to his representatives for further comments, but have yet to receive a response.
