Diddy’s former bodyguard, Gene Deal, has leveled a shocking accusation against the Los Angeles Police Department, suggesting they orchestrated a coverup of Tupac Shakur’s murder. In a candid interview with The Art of Dialogue, Deal delved into the reasons behind his belief that the LAPD played a role in the tragic demise of the iconic rapper, linking it to the unsolved murder of Biggie Smalls.
“If Suge says, ‘If you solve one murder, you solve them both,’ I gotta go with the eyewitness,” expressed Gene Deal. “I don’t know why Suge would say that when Keefe D says that it was him, Orlando and Dre and them in the car together. But why would Suge say, ‘If you solve one murder, you solve ’em both.’”
Continuing, he added, “I just believe somebody was made to say something. And I hope the Vegas police department do their due diligence and get down to the bottom of it and make the truth come out.”
Tupac’s tragic shooting occurred in Las Vegas in 1996. Earlier this year, Las Vegas police carried out an unexpected search at Keefe D’s residence, marking a surprising turn in the long-standing murder investigation.
Orlando Anderson, Keefe D’s nephew who passed away in 1998, was long suspected as the primary perpetrator in Tupac’s murder. Keefe D had previously pointed to his nephew, asserting that he was present in the vehicle with Anderson when the shooting transpired.
Gene Deal suggested that Tupac’s murder was rooted in financial disputes. Diddy’s ex-bodyguard believed that Tupac’s decision to initiate an audit of Death Row Records ultimately led to his demise, sparking an intricate coverup.
“Some people were spending money that they shouldn’t have been spending,” Gene Deal explained. “Some people were stealing money that shouldn’t have been stealing, some people had money that they shouldn’t have had. And I think if I heard correctly, Tupac put an audit in two weeks or three weeks prior to his murder and started firing people and trying to figure out where his money was at and where it was going. So now if you been stealing money, and you inside and everything can be connected to you, what are you gon’ do? Get this hothead in a situation.”
Gene Deal emphatically stated that Keefe D was dishonest about Anderson’s involvement in Tupac’s shooting. The case remains officially unsolved.
