Lil Wayne is facing a lawsuit over allegations of assaulting a former bodyguard and threatening him with a gun.
Reportedly, on December 1, TMZ disclosed that Lil Wayne is being sued by ex-security guard Carlos Christian for an incident that allegedly transpired in 2021. Christian contends that he suffered medical expenses, lost wages, and emotional distress due to the purported assault. The lawsuit seeks compensatory and punitive damages against the rapper.
The incident was initially investigated by the police in December 2021. Law enforcement responded to a call from Christian, who claimed things escalated between him and Lil Wayne, resulting in a physical altercation where Wayne allegedly punched him in the ear and instructed him to leave.
Christian alleges that when he went to the bathroom instead, Wayne brandished an AR-15 rifle and threatened him, prompting Christian to flee to the community’s guard shack and contact authorities. Wayne has denied the incident.
Lil Wayne, hailing from Louisiana, is in the midst of releasing a joint album with 2 Chainz titled “Welcome 2 Collegrove” and is gearing up for the highly anticipated release of his new album, “Tha Carter VI.”
