Ludacris defied gravity with a mesmerizing performance at the NFL showdown between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints during Atlanta’s 50th-anniversary Hip Hop celebrations. The iconic rapper rappelled from the roof of Mercedes-Benz Stadium while delivering his classic hit “Move Bitch.”
Sharing GoPro footage of the theatrical stunt on Instagram, Ludacris humorously quipped, “I Got Some Georgia Dome Today,” referencing the Falcons’ former home. The gravity-defying act not only wowed the live audience but also drew admiration from fellow rap artists watching remotely.
Tyler, The Creator commented, “WOW AMAZING,” and Redman added, “EXTREME [fire emojis].” Ludacris took the stage at the end of the third quarter, capping off a day filled with Hip Hop celebrations.
The halftime show featured performances by Jeezy, Cee-Lo Green, Jermaine Dupri, Big Boi, and Quavo. Quavo paid tribute to his late cousin TakeOff during the performance. T.I. also made a notable appearance, walking the Falcons onto the field while rapping his 2004 hit “Bring Em Out.”
Given Atlanta’s deep connection with Hip Hop, the celebrations were a fitting tribute, featuring a lineup of legendary and contemporary artists. The Falcons, recognizing the city’s rich musical heritage, announced the festivities with a star-studded list of local rappers, including Goodie Mob, Killer Mike, DJ Drama, Bow Wow, JID, Young Nudy, 6LACK, and EarthGang.
Tameka Rish, senior vice president of fan and associate experience at AMB Sports and Entertainment, expressed excitement about the milestone celebration, inviting fans and the entire Atlanta community to join in the festivities.
