Hip-Hop Legend Snoop Dogg recently made an appearance on Stephen A. Smith’s Know Mercy podcast. Tha Doggfather was asked about his peers Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls, and where their careers might be if they were never assassinated in 1996 and 1997.
“You gotta understand the—look at the peers. Biggie and Tupac are peers with Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Nas, and I think that’s about it,” said Snoop. “‘Cause everybody else was before us or after us.”

“So, Nas and Jay-Z, they still here. Snoop Dogg is still here, but Tupac and Biggie not here. So, what is Nas doing? He’s dropping bomb-ass albums, done great business deals, a great venture capitalist, he went to the tech side of the game in the Bay Area and made great moves.” said Snoop who also believes Tupac and Biggie would be just as successful as their peers.
Snoop also would go on to praise the accomplishments of Jay-Z and his billionaire status akin to the likes of Lebron James, Rihanna, Dr. Dre & Kanye West.
2Pac most notably, could have seen his career take an even more drastic turn following 1996 had he stayed alive. He was rumored to have landed the role of Mace Windu for the upcoming Star Wars Prequels that began filming in 1997. On top of that, 2Pac was actively expanding Death Row Records with the launch of Death Row East and Makaveli Records. However, these plans were halted due this his untimely death. With his Hollywood appeal and signing potential artists such as Wu-Tang Clan, Big Daddy Kane, DMX & The Ruff Ryders to his roster, 2Pac could have very well been the first billionaire rapper.
